Ancient Memories Poem by Mohammad Younus

Ancient Memories

Ancient memories,
Forgotten, lost files,
Like autumn leaves,
Drift to the ground
And decay with the frost.
Yet in the heart,
A spark remains,
A glowing ember
That refuses to wane.

In forgotten memories,
I find a sense of longing,
A yearning for the past—
Particularly the day of Alast,
When the love song was sung.
These memories remind me
Of the primordial covenant:
To treasure the divine presence,
And easily remain connected
To the sacred truth of the future.
