And For All That Poem by Raymond Farrell

And For All That

And for all that
I am not a rat
But I too am a mammal
Scientists have proven
The simple toxoplasmosis parasite
Entering the rat's brain
Dramatically changes its behavior
It has been known
Humans have high infection levels
Of this parasite
So-called experts felt Homo Sapiens
Were not rats and too complex
To have their behavior
Altered by this parasite
But now it appears
We ended up victims
Of our own propaganda
Research shows that people
Can fall prey in such a way
Their behavior is altered
And the effects
May be more widespread
Than imagined.
