And Our Dream Falls Silently Poem by Arun Maji

And Our Dream Falls Silently

Rating: 5.0

And our dream falls silently.
Like those dew drops in cold winter;
Those fall alone
Without being noticed by others.

Forgive us o Lord
We cannot feed and raise
Our own child called dream.

Fear fear and fear.
We are obsessed by fear,
Inebriated by fear, crippled by fear.
Every time we visualise rainbow sky,
The cloud of fear appears there
And shadows all colours.

We are so much obsessed with cloud
We deny existence of rainbow.
So, we choose to witness-
Our own child called dream
Starves and then dies.
And it dies right before our eyes,
Right before our awareness.

And then sitting by grave of our child
We light up a candle,
Lay colourful flowers,
Call few of our friends,
And shed our achy tears.

We are ready to suffer
Pain of death of our dream,
But we hate to suffer
Pain of raising and nourishing our dream.

Forgive us o Lord.
Amen.
