And We Are But A Memory Poem by Stan Rodriguez

And We Are But A Memory

Rating: 5.0

Now that I have found you
within the darken street of
San Francisco—knowing we have
no other place to go

I ask that you to embrace me
(if you will)
and hide me from the wetness of the cold

Just whisper words of love
and I'll surrender
before the time that we have left, is gone

and we become— but a memory to remember
when days grow old and we are all alone.
