பாசுரம்-10

நோற்றுச் சுவர்க்கம் புகுகின்ற அம்மனாய்!
மாற்றமும் தாராரோ? வாசல் திறவாதார்
நாற்றத் துழாய்முடி நாராயணன் நம்மால்
போற்றப் பறை தரும் புண்ணியனால் பண்டொருநாள்
கூற்றத்தின் வாய் வீழ்ந்த கும்பகருணனும்
தோற்றும் உனக்கே பெருந்துயில் தான் தந்தானோ?
ஆற்ற அனந்தல் உடையாய்! அருங்கலமே!
தேற்றமாய் வந்து திறவேலோர் எம்பாவாய்.

PASURAM-10

"Oh you, young maiden,
You wished for Heaven,
After your severe penance,
Why don't you listen to us? "

"Can you not reply us
Even if your doors
Aren't open for us
Despite our repeated calls? "

"The fresh Tulasi garland
O'er Narayanan's head
Gives a pleasant smell,
We enjoy the same well."

"He'll surely bless us
With the drum for our vows,
So, from your deep sleep
Will you please wake you up? "

"Has the demon Kumbakarna,
Defeated in the war by Rama,
Gave you his deep sleep
When to the hell he went up? "

"You're like a rare jewel.
Why in sleep you're still
Please get up and open
Your closed doors soon."
