பாசுரம்-20

முப்பத்து மூவர் அமரர்க்கு முன் சென்று
கப்பம் தவிர்க்கும் கலியே! துயிலெழாய்!
செப்பம் உடையாய்! நிறல் உடையாய்! செற்றார்க்கு
வெப்பம் கொடுக்கும் விமலா! துயில் எழாய்!
செப்பன்ன மென் முலைச் செவ்வாய்ச் சிறுமருங்குல்
நப்பின்னை நங்காய்! திருவே! துயில் எழாய்!
உக்கமும் தட்டொளியும் தந்து உன் மணாளனை
இப்போதே எம்மை நீராட்டேலோர் எம்பாவாய்.

PASURAM-20

"To remove their fears
Of 33 crores of Devas
You're the Lord, only one,
Rushing to help anyone."

"You're strong and selfless,
While helping those Devas,
You're the first one always,
Please wake up to bless us."

"You've that offensive skill.
With power to show your will
And can bring fever to enemies
Please wake up to bless us."

"Oh, Maid, having soft breast,
Red lips, narrow waist,
Can you please wake up
From your deep sleep."

"Give us hand-fans,
And hand-mirrors,
The prescribed things.
To fulfill our vows."

"So, please allow us
Your husband, all of us,
To have our bath early
And feel ourselves holy."
