Angel Of Grace~ - Poem by Leticia Flood

Angel of Grace. By, Leticia Flood

Resting my head upon the plushness of slumber, anticipating my moon struck dreams...
I seek through my thoughts; the presence of her warmth...
As I wander through a world never before seen...
A forest dressed in many shades...

Speaking trees, singing branches, falling leaves,
All filled with brilliant colors...
Above me the warmest sun…
Below me the cushioned grass,

Before me a beautiful path,
Behind me a gentle voice which whispers:
'Walk bravely toward your bliss, for it awaits you within the light of the mist.'

-Bestowing to me, a most spiritual gift...

Moving along... gazing through all the magnificence, I feel the oneness of all its excellence...
While fixed is my memory, of why I am there…
Approaching nearer I enter a maze...

Filled in abundance with the rewards of my faith...
Where at the end awaits me her gentle embrace...
Caressing the flowers, in fullest of bloom…
Kissing the thorns which once offered me gloom…

Now, nurturing my tender lips...
I see from a distance an amber silhouette...
Drawing me closer... it's her, I will bet...
My vision grows clearer, my mission fulfilled...

Massive wings for me spread wide…
Calling to me in thundering sigh:
'Come closer sweet child, for here am I.”
'Throughout all of time, assigned to you, your Angel of guide.'

I run to her arms, where there I am safe...
Gazing upon her I see on her face…
The most pleasing of Heaven's beautiful trace...
Tis then I'm aware, I'm in the right place…
For I've finally reached her; “My Angel of Grace. “
