Angel Of Much Love Poem by Dez Clark

Angel Of Much Love

Tied up in my own emotion,
My heart had broke without a notion.
A love as beautiful as the velvet sky
Had suddenly died, and the murderer walked on by.
He had an evil smirk placed upon his face
And eyes trailing me without loosing their place.
A thousand days left me so lonely,
With a guyt who is such an awful phoney.
About five years later, he left.
And I noticed he had all my love kept.
I lay crying, dreading the 'morrow,
And keep thinking of the ancient motto,
'Hang in there, the ride's not that tough, '
But I guess it wasn't enough.
The day after I shuffled my feet,
Through the day I accepted defeat,
However then a light flashed on my eye,
And I saw the most perfect looking guy.
He had curly hair of lovely brown,
Eyes, as deep as the sea. I no longer had a frown!
I promised myself I'd love him for life,
And then dreamed later, I was his wife.
