Ila Dean... Poem by Dez Clark

Ila Dean...

Rating: 4.5

Many summers and winters told
Shes prancing through a field of marigolds
All the grief and all the crying
Was only about a beautiful mother dying.
But I understand what she saw
She saw her son Todd and our Paw Paw.
She held on and fought to stay alive,
Because she knew we'd miss her on this side.
All we had to do was let her go
But we still let our hurting show.
As she passed on to the other side
We all knelt to our knees and cried.
Some will never be the same, a few will split
As we glance where she used to sit.
We all cry and hurt inside
But why? She's dancing with Paw Paw in the sky.
