Angels Poem by robert felstead

Angels

On winged grey horses chaos arrives
In a black despairing soul the devil drives
Drives a wedge between good and bad
Banishes goodness to make us sad
Fills our lives with torment and hate
To grasp happiness we will have to wait
He fills our heart with despair and dread
If your weak you long to be dead
Full of doubts and lingering thoughts
He highlights all of your darkest faults
On spread white wings the angels fly
Come to help us from the sky
They shield us from the devils ploys
To make us one of his legion of toys
They are good of heart strong in ways
Ways to get you through the days
They capture all the wrong on earth
To your death right from your birth
They banish pain with ease of mind
Not worried about what they will find
Angel eyes see all around your soul
Angel hands catch you when you fall
With angels to protect you in a fight
Evil will be banished with power and might
Good verses evil, the struggle of man
Can you win? With help you can.........
