Greed Poem by robert felstead

Greed

Rating: 5.0

New moon full and high above
Sitting gazing at it with my love
Holding hands on a winters night
All the stars look such a sight
Bright and clear like angels eyes
Looking up makes you feel so wise
All the earth feels small and needy
It's a shame man is so greedy
Killing the trees for his own good
Wasting the goodness of the wood
Raping the soil for his own needs
Till nothing grows only weeds
Big holes dug to reach earths riches
Rich men fight like spoilt bitches
Animals killed for fur or fun
Poisoned, stabbed or shot with a gun
Oceans attacked with all types of trash
Just so the boss can make more cash
Catch all the fish why worry at all?
Go to the market they will be on a stall
Lets get the whales they take up much room
Kill the unborn still in the womb
Man is such a comprehensive fool
Why does he think he has the right to rule...........

Man is such a comprehensive fool Why does he think he has the right to rule thus designed, ironically, that this tribe would rule till it brings its own ruin. the sad truth rings in this poem, Robert.
