When you are drunk,
when you are in evil company,
when you're conspiring against someone,
when you are at tantrums,
and hurling abuses,
... remember, you are swinging in the lap
of the Devil Lucifer-the Kali Purusha.
When you're praying the God,
reading Ramayana or Bible,
listening to the tuneful hymns
of sacred scriptures,
when you're playing with kids,
when serving the poor and needy,
when chanting Rama naam
remember... you're in the arms
of the Holy Spirit.
You're like a football O man
on earth-playground.
Both angels and demons
keep kicking you from side to side.
Their goal is Earth-control.
But you're not a football.
You're neither good nor bad...
you're neither an angel, nor a demon
nor even a human!
You're a holy spirit
filled with cosmic verve
hidden inside and out.
You have the mystic force too
to arouse it
by the mere power of Sankalpa.
Arouse it...
escape the kicking shoes
and vamoose
into the infinite empyrean.
