In situations most dire and bleak,
Good peoples show their metal.
Unwavering, stalwart and determined,
Never fearing to grasp life's nettle.
At any time throughout the year,
When fate's adversities cruelly call.
They calmly take it in their stride,
And will never falter and never fall.
These people are ordinary people,
Really no different to you or me.
But when they perform real miracles,
Angels of mercy among us we now see.
