Animal Friends Poem by Lauren Coles

Not everyone is happy all the time,
Sometimes you just need to get away from the house,
Only if have somewhere to go to on your bike,
Neighborhoods have parks,
In the fairytale Snow White she escapes to the woods to get away from the evil queen.
Everybody knows that animals don't talk unless actors and actresses give them a voice,
When you arrive you hear birds singing and frogs dancing around in the pond,
Squirrels may come to say hello,
You may not have any friends but animals will always listen to you,
They may not know when you're coming back to talk but there's always going to be more bad days ahead,
You might not be able to understand them but they can understand you and be your friend.
