Animals As Pets Poem by thomas hannah

Animals As Pets

Rating: 5.0

To some people, I think that people used animals as you would a tool or accessory. They use the animals for a while, and when they have no use for it anymore, they just throw it away like a piece of trash. like it was never meant to be here. Now, I have some friends that think animals (especially dogs) are an accessory that they can use until they don't want it anymore. Sometimes i just want to slap them right across the face for saying things mean or inhumane about animals. They just don't get how important animals are to the human race. When the animals are gone (extinct) they will only have themselves to blame for what they did to cause such chaos.

I so agree with your emotional declaration. I have always said that most of my best friends are four-legged. I had been rescued by my dog, Shamus, ten yrs ago...he remains a compass for my humility....and a once starving cat, now sleeps warmly upon my bed, knowing he is safe from the world that thought he was disposable... they are indisposible, to the beating of my heart, and the breath of my day. I invite you to read Fattened By The Hand That Feeds You..directly written on this topic. PEACE and thank you for the heartfelt reminder!
