I am a man as of your stature
I do have kids and other half
Carrying me within them
As is true to you and all mankind.
Nonetheless;
I am under oath for sovereign land
I am knight in shining armor
Solely dyed-in-the-wool for disadvantaged ones.
I guard the en masse on all untoward vistas
Expect nothing – I minimally school;
‘Live and let live’ notion elsewhere all times.
Is my obligation- I guard you
Is my commitment- I help you
Is my ethics- I salute you
Do jog your memory- I too arrest you.
I get from what you pay
I give what you necessitate
I pass sleepless night, and spare you sound sleep
I am a man as of your stature
Call me no more Jekyll and Hyde
For I am swear for land’s entity.
At times I am a cop even to my other half
And equally a beau whilst in civil
In uniform no being is near and dear in my lens
Pa and mamma be general for I am under oath
A nice comment on the police officer as a human being. The idea that the cop goes without sleep so that we may sleep sounder is one that we should accept gratefully.
