You stole my heart from day one,
Made me believe that you wouldn't leave,
And when things seemed to fall into place,
You left without a trace,
I stayed up at night hoping you would come back,
But as time went on tears began to fall,
I have said many times before,
I will move on,
But moving on has become harder to obtain,
With each step I take,
was another piece of my heart I picked up,
And with glue, tape, and staples,
I will try to piece my heart back together,
In hopes that another piece isn't missing,
You stole my heart from day one,
You used my heart as a doormat,
And left when I needed you most,
In the end I have pieced it back together,
And used bricks and barbed wire,
For protection against the next man that came by,
My heart will never be the same,
I will not trust as easily,
And I will have cried my last tear and moved on,
You stole my heart from day one,
Made me believe that you wouldn't leave,
And when things fell into place,
I moved onto bigger and better things.
