Another Promise Poem by Karen Riggs

Another Promise

i bet
its another promise- another promise i cant keep
i shy away as they smolder your eyes
with venom vomit and victory uncapable eyes
' on the hearts i won a few arms n masks
at the same time they drew blood from america
when anything is too pretty- its so easy to rebel!
my pieced lips- death disarming my smile
I bet i made a few of you feel fear for samewhat of a time! '
Its another promise i cant keep- ill never be better off than what they made me
a pulsating heartbeat- withouy any craving for what you folks describe as natural normanlty
