Another Shooting Poem by Randy McClave

Another Shooting

I pray for all those who lay dead
To heaven I hope they all are led,
Away from them was taken their life
As easily as hot butter is cut by a knife.
A racist man came today to judge
Unto all mixed couples he held a grudge,
He got his power of hate from the president
From bigotry and racist remarks that he sent.
He followed as he believed as he was told
Tightly unto his gun's trigger he did hold,
He still remembers his president's raves and rants
And his supporters racist and bigoted chants.
He did as he and his president and supporters believed
Death to all Mexicans he did perceived,
He hated because they came from different lands
Their blood is also on the president and his supporters hands.
We pray for the families of those who was hurt or died
For each soul a million tears are cried,
Now another person has decided to do his prosecuting
Today we had another shooting.
