Another Winter Poem by Shanaaz Waldien

Another Winter

A cold winters night
Sudden thunder leaving behind a fright
The rain pouring down
Leaves flying around
Sighing with the all the unpleasentness
It seems to be so senseless
Children hysterical
Parents wishing for the impossible
Living in a shack
You can never predict what's next
Leaking holes everywhere
A wet floor impossible to bare
Is there a brighter future ahead?
Always with a cold and tight chest
Hoping it will be better tomorrow
For a moment, a smile illimunating the sorrow
