Ant Poem by Koushik Goswami

Ant

Rating: 3.5

The load he was carrying was way too big
But he was carrying it anyway…
The path was not clear, the (ant) -hill was never near
As he kept on walking he met many of his fellows on the way…
Hurry, up they told him, every time they crossed him
No one ever cared to ask how he was….
The sugar crystal was shining on his back, he was calming the craving empty sack
And the sweet load was getting bitter; as he struggled to keep it steady….
Ants have such amazing power (as all think)
It sure should be easy to carry a load as hefty as timed fifty….
And, the Queen must be waiting, to be served
As she deserves the every bit, and so he needs to take extra care…
The sugar must be sweet, when she'll take a leisurely bite
He will never know sweet as he shall need to hurry for the next plight…
