Anyone Can Rhyme Poem by Francis Duggan

Anyone Can Rhyme

I've been penning stuff since I was in my life's prime
For some thirty five years that is going back in time
An addiction to writing is never a crime
But few can write poetry anyone can rhyme
'Tis not hard to rhyme with words I like to play
Without inspiration I write every day
I write for the love of it little else more
One might say of that we have heard it before
My worth as a rhymer I often do doubt
But always something new for to write about
The rhymers are many and the poets are so few
In saying that I am not saying anything new
To rhyme is so easy as easy can be
So easy to many and easy to me.
