Let's apologize to the future that we all will never know
Where we all are brothers and sisters working to create a world totally free of woe
Where perversions and iniquities all are things of a caustic past
Where poverty is only a word to define a state that will never last

Let's apologize for the lack of backbone that we all apparently have
To stand up Politicians who don't represent us and sit back and laugh
To restrict businesses from being so large that they are nations unto them selves
And allowing them to use and abuse us to improve their fiscal wealth

Oh world, what have we done to create such an abysmal mess
We simply trusted others to be responsible for our personal best
We believed that no business owner would ever poison and discharge such greed
Regardless of the well being of nation, people, animal, insect, and seed

This prayer I extend to all of you who believe that we are much more
Than fodder for the industrialist and fools on their nameless shore
And in this apology I confess that I too am to blame
For I did sit and just witness these crimes in the peoples name
