i am sorry my love
for not being strong
for not being there
when you needed me the most
i was just too weak

forgive me my love
for lacking the sensitivity
to feel your pain
for lacking the strength
to see beyond my hollow pride
i paid the price:

i chose emptiness
and lost the love of my life
