Appeal - Poem by chuck Hurley

This nations greatness lies within its people
Just as the land to the harvest and the church to its steeple.
They come from all lands and every land
To toil and love their family and seldom demand.

Just so they have a share it need not be equal
Nor would they expect their poverty to have a squel.
The key to a bountiful future lies in education and contribution
But there is no reason why denial should be by retribution.

This land is their land now just as it is yours
For the children's children's future as a national cause.
National unity, freedom and individual choice
These are the ingredients for this nations voice.

This country is here for parents to come
A place toil, contribute and give to each daughter and son.
The people will come again and again to be welcomed once more
Give them and theirs the opportunity to open this nations door.

Let their children's children have what was your desire
The good life, the productive life; all without fire.
What they accomplish to be a reflection of you
Not nationality or religion but they contribute to the view.
