Appearing To Me As A Robin Poem by John Paul Butler

Appearing To Me As A Robin

The robin has appeared again
Being more than merely a messenger

It somehow even looks like her
Maybe because I can see it in the eyes
I'm feeling her presence here
And there's no question about who it is
Standing next to me staring up
Walking about a bit and coming back

She visits often and appears as
This little songbird with her spirit inside
Out of the beyond manifesting
Herself for me here and is everywhere
In order to say she's okay now
And letting me know that l'll be okay too
Without actually uttering a word
Just as she did in her human existence

All l'm able to say to her in return
While l have the chance is ‘Thanks Mum! '
