Arachnids - Poem by Nicky Chen

Their long, hairy legs crawling left and right
Up my attic and through the endless pipes
They are like the black demons of the night
Bringing havoc and chaos of all types
Creating huge cobwebs out of the blue
Dooming creatures that happened to come by
Catching with substances sticky as glue
Killing them all in the blink of an eye
Morning, comes, all evidence vanish
As if the night had gone without a trace
It leaves behind a dark, wind-chilling wish
To avoid them as if it was a race
But I realized this wasn't right at all
So I came to endure them on every wall.

Ugh, this made my skin crawl. Will now have to put my boots on in case anything runs up my legs..... but well done to you for learning to endure them.

    Love, Fran xx
