Ode To Mara Poem by Ana Ónimo

Ode To Mara

Rating: 4.5

In days in which the sun
Only shoots warm and old rays of light

You open the door
With delicate strength and colors
And let your magic in...

Your skin acts like a mirror
And...reflects
And you dazzle with simple sparks
And fire

And your eyes become the clearest nights
With stars that tinkle
(hence the name of the song)
While you consume light
¡Goodbye afternoon!
¡Goodbye daylight!
(Now i know why Sunsets die)

In days of sun
And old light
i spect for your shine
And i paciently wait for you

...i thought you were so simple
But many shades make you
Little by little i decipher
From were your happiness is born
(oh its so much darker...)
Nothing is so simple, i unwrap you
(Your full of surprises, My Friend Mara)
i suddenly...See...you... more complex
And finally i understand

Friend, do not Fear!
Your Secret is save with me
(...i know, under the light you reflect Oblivion hides
The most Bitter Loneliness
The most Sweet and Unsuspected
Insecurity)

Dont worry, My Good Old Friend
Your secret is save with me
The unatractive sadness
Hides good under your disguise
