Arctic Waders Poem by Francis Duggan

Arctic Waders

Rating: 5.0

Arctic waders travel thousands of kilometresyearly by sky
To southern beaches from their breeding grounds in the far north they does fly
And back again in the far northern Spring for to breed
Like all migratory birds for to travel long journeys for survival in them an inborn need
How they find their way to beaches in the far south and make it back home again
As a mystery of Nature will forever remain
So much about Nature for to learn of and know
And our wonderment of her it only does grow
These amazing feathered travellers from the Arctic with ways of their own
So much about them does remain as unknown
I know so little about Nature I have come to realize
But we learn as we live from the words of the wise
In Spring they arrive on the far southern beaches for their Summer stay
These amazing feathered travellers from a Land far away.
