Are You Okay Poem by Randy McClave

Are You Okay

I asked her if she was okay
And for her did I needed to pray,
Whatever she wanted or needed me to do
I asked her to please give me a hint or drop me a clue.
Then she said, "Please stop asking"!
As I noticed in sadness she was sadly basking,
Then she spoke, "What if being okay I am not"
"What will you do", she spoke, after her thought.
I then spoke to her with a smile on my face
And I said of course I will give you, your space,
But, if you're in pain and you need to mend
Please remember this, I am your friend.
If you ever need me I will always be there
For you I do truly care,
And if you ever need to borrow my hand
I will be there to help you up and stand.
And if you ever need to borrow a friends ear
I will be there to understand and listen when l hear,
And if you need to borrow my arm
I will be there to protect you from fear and harm.
So, please, please always remember this
Only in heaven is there total bliss,
And if you're not okay let me or someone else know
Because not everyone, is your foe.
