Armadillo Poem by Esther Moe

Armadillo

I saw an armadillo
Walking down the street
It looked like a granny
With its tiny, little feet

It was slowly walking past
In the quiet of the dawn
As it tiptoed on its paws
Right to the neighbor's lawn

I quickly hit the brakes
Cause it startled me a bit
It took its sweet time
As I calmly watched it

It continued on its way
So I grinned and did the same
Looking for a meal
Unaware that I came
