Armistice Poem by Teedy Dawn

Armistice

Rating: 5.0

A poet for every soldier,
A rose for every gun,
A tender place for each crushed face,
And every life undone.

A kiss for every teardrop,
A smile for every bomb,
A wish of peace for war to cease,
And every hope that’s gone.

Teedy, in this short poems you have captured the thoughts of nations. Everyone wishes there would be no more destruction. But sadly no matter how much any of us write our protests about it. We all secretly know it is to no avail all the time there is just one person who wants to rule everybody and everything. Beautiful write all the same. I hope more come along and read this. David
