Arrows Poem by Rafik Romdhani

Arrows

Rating: 5.0

In parliament

Everyone want to play the wolf
And everyone want to play the hunter
Arrows from crossbows on a people's behalf
Darted dreams' way in utter banter
Arrows for the sake of nationalism
Others in the name of the labour farce
Arrows from both normal 'n 'halel' eatin mouths
Arrows that would liberate gaza
And arrows for far-fetched tomorrows
I rose beyond this masquerade
We rose beyond this masquerade
To remind you wolf by wolf
That the people roared to satiate his hunger
Not rehug his pain to heal himself
