When time sharpened
Our haphazard yawning
To sunlight that gored
The endless blue ceiling
Of unknown,
Where have we been?
Where have we been
When hazard elbowed
us out of our lurking
Vociferation well fed
By hungering after hungering
For theconscious that lingered
There and only there
Where have we been?
Where have we been
When the cyclone to change
Teeth and hair has blown
And we had nothin to exchange
But choose our tone
Before it is plastic hugging
Before it is grave digging?
My fear is pleasing and squeezing
The earth is giving nothin but earth
The common self moanin n squeaking
It s going Hiroshimic n missing mirth
That we lost where we have been!
