Articulate Loneliness Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Articulate Loneliness

Walking through deserts of an articulate loneliness that
touches this heart and soul so deeply, teaching them to
miss and want you back in my life.

So much time has passed, wondering if you feel the same
way about me too, does your heart still flutter at the
sound of my name or seeing me walking towards you.

Mine does every time I see or talk to you from a distance,
wanting to be settled in your life and heart like when we
were younger.

Our hearts tingling with love for each other, always shar-
ing and being together; alas, now just memories and images -
portraits of you and I living in the sacredness of our love.

Is it possible to pick up where we left off all those years
ago, my love?
