As Poem by Patty Patterson

As

As
I look at your tear stained face,

something from deep within
raises my hand,

As
I
wipe your tears
spilling out of your big brown eyes,
over your wet black lashes.

As
your tears roll
down your creamy brown cheeks,

I
hold you tighter

and
silently
beg you not to cry.
