As A Truism Remain Poem by Francis Duggan

As A Truism Remain

Rating: 5.0

The one with plenty of money never short of a friend
As it speaks every language why otherwise pretend
The old bloke in his eighties has a pretty twenty five years old wife
Though he does not realize it he is not the love of her life
How she truly feels about him from him she does hide
As she does realize time is not on his side
That he will cark it soon with this hope she keeps faith
And as is said everything comes to those who do wait
That she only loves his money he does not seem to realize
But this in itself is not any surprise
Since her true feelings she is quite good to disguise
And all people grow older but few does grow wise
That money speaks every language as a truism remain
This has often been said and will be said again.
