As Barbra Sees It Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

As Barbra Sees It

A singer's song, a worried sound,
'If things don't shift, I'm leaving town.'
To Canada, or shores so far,
Beneath a different, distant star.

And then a voice, with power known,
Declared this government, overthrown
By greed and care, a bitter plight,
The worst she'd seen, by day or night.

One speaks of change, a worried plea,
The other points, for all to see.
Their words align, a 8common thought,
On paths America has sought.

Some say it's talk, a show to see,
From folks who live so easily.
A threat to leave, but staying near,
A disconnect, they loudly cheer.

But others hear a deeper cry,
Of worries real, beneath the sky.
Her voice is hers, her heart feels pain,
Though flights to Sydney may remain.
