If anything is ever borrowed
It should always be surely paid back,
Especially if through a promise made
Before, guilt ever whispers an attack.
If what is borrowed is lost or injured
Full restitution must be always made,
Because, it was loaned in faith and in good will
Retribution then, must be given or paid.
The wicked borrows, but then they forget
They never keep their honored word,
The righteous is generous and they give
Because, from the Lord God they have heard.
Before, the whispers ever start spreading
Before, the borrower start ignoring others,
And before they start feeling guilt and shame
Think first to repay their sisters and brothers.
A wicked person lacks trustworthiness
A person who borrows, but does not pay back what is owed,
David proclaimed that in Psalms
Indeed they will always reap what is sowed.
A righteous person always meets their obligations
They do not live in sadness or worries or regret,
They joyfully practice generosity
And they always honor their every debt.
