As If All The Quiet In The World Poem by Shalom Freedman

As If All The Quiet In The World

Rating: 5.0

I go on slowly
As if all the quiet in the world
Were not enough for me
What do I know after all?
To ever really be anything?
Why in this quiet
Do I need more quiet so much?
Calmness Kindness Love Beauty
My own small end of days
Ticking away relentlessly
As I write another poem
which will never matter.
