As Large As Sky Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I regretted for nothing as such
Even though it has caused me pain as much
The vacuum is as large as sky
But I have no reason to feel shy

I had desired life long association
It was very strong bond and foundation
Any structure can’t stand alone on erection
If it has shaky base or slight friction

What do I do when she is not around?
Where all happiness is gone to be found?
I have no alternate but to look at horizon
Think about its vastness and look upon

I suffer from deep anguish
The though would take place to end life or perish
Such step can’t be taken as brave or bold
The soul is not prepared to leave its fold

I wait for miracle to happen
I see no reason behind it even
But what a person can do in distress?
When he is ridden with anxiety and stress?

It is hard to bargain in critical time
You loose your common sense sometimes
Many useless thoughts may take over and blind person
Only stable person may stand fast and see through the reasons

I know she may come back in my camp
I shall hold hope under the dim lamp
I may see her coming with firm resolution
That may prove to be the end of isolation

Not all the persons may be passing through same ordeal
But the main advice is that once must struck fast deal
It should not be allowed to deteriorate at point of no return
As cordiality may loose its color forever in turn

I was fast slipping into dark
Came back into sense with high sound of dog’s bark
I could see her entering with broad smile
She was back in life again from distance of miles
