As Much As It Hurts Me To Say. Poem by Bekah Tav.

As Much As It Hurts Me To Say.

As I turn around to say goodbye,
For the last time.
Want to run to you with my arms
Open wide.
And cry.
The tears they well up in my eyes,
Denial caught up with me,
No longer can the truth hide.
That you are leaving,
Tomorrow you’ll be gone.
I know you are not dying,
But if you ask anyone,
I’m not sure it would feel much different.
Either way it hurts me to say,
So long..
Everything you did for me,
I can never thank you enough.
As much as it scares me to say,
I am much too dependant,
On you to save me everyday.
Too much attachment.
I don’t want things to be different now,
I want you to be able to stay here somehow.
And if I had all of the money in the world,
I’d pay for your every need,
Just as long as you could stay here,
In the same place as me.
Oh how I wish that you did
Not ever have to leave.
As much as it hurts me to say…
And as much as I will continue hoping
To see you again one day…
Want it to remain the same.
So,
Until we meet again.
