As Often It Does Poem by Doris Cornago

As Often It Does

Rating: 5.0

Never be unkind even when driven
Your flesh corrupts at the touch
Susceptible to deception
Be mild at all times
Guard your
Tongue
Speak
Of
Healing
When bile
Arises as often
It does, walk away
Go where the wind is
Gentle, water cools the feet
Look far away where the land
Kisses the sky and all else recedes

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Watch your tongue, we know this but too often we give vent to our ‘righteous' anger, feeling another person deserves to be cut back, hurting as much, or oftentimes, more than the pain inflicted on us. Anger is poison, it kills the wielder as much as the receiver, sometimes decimating not only relationships, but innocent lives. Collateral damages are often consequences of a race's/community's/individual's misplaced anger. The best recourse to anger is to commune with and be healed by nature. :)

This face should be beautiful, but frightening because of its anger. You cannot know the ugliness of a woman until you cause her to hate you beyond reason.: (
