Lunatic About The Red Moon Poem by Doris Cornago

Lunatic About The Red Moon

Rating: 5.0

The inconstant moon
How it glows in the night
As we watched in silence
I hope the morning brings
Some clarified feelings
About why, who reasons

What's to say about the past?
We've loitered behind too much
The future is upon us to decide
Should we hurry to what's coming
Or tarry on pretending there's nothing
The moon glows above beckoning

Looking around me at the party
I'm satisfied that I've done right
Stayed my course, transparent
Though there are constant changes
I know the moon 🌗 is just the same
It's looking at things that change

We have not talked much today
Yet day after day I know what goes
In your mind and soul, the struggles
If there's a way to make it easier
Would have done so, right away
Love keeps circling back, lunatic

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
You and I are like the moon, changing in moods and yet, deep inside, we are still the same person, with dark and bright sides.

A perfect landing for this astrophysical metaphoric love poem. A one of kind write, just like that red moon.

Love makes everything beautiful. But falling out of love?

Thank you. But truth is, alas, not absolute like the phases of the moon. Theres a dark side to love.
