As The Autumn Turns To Winter, Poem by GHOST WRITER

As The Autumn Turns To Winter,

Memories are all I have…..

Autumn is in the air, changing the colour of the leaves,
Lining the streets in vibrant reds and yellows.
The gentle breeze carries a chill
Whilst the cold settles in.

And although the sky remains clear blue
And the sunshine warms my cheeks,
Winter waits behind the corner,
Creeping closer still.

Yet thoughts of you keep me warm
As the nights draw in.
The days grow shorter, the nights colder.

But you are never far from my mind,
Feeling your arms wrapped around me
Snug and tight….

And as the days drift by, I long for your return.
To feel your warmth beside me
Watching the snowflakes blowing in.
