As The Waters Cover The Sea Poem by Joyce Hemsley

As The Waters Cover The Sea

Slightly Improved Version:

Hush, hearken to a melody
a symphony played hauntingly;
no need to doubt, no need to fret,
the ending may not happen yet;
but to a 'home' beyond the sky
earthly spirits could one day fly.
Isaiah's words may come to be:
'As the waters cover the sea'.

For when all treeless tundra slides
beneath unceasing rising tides,
rain, ice and snow will ever flow
and animals and birds will know
something strange has come to pass;
the symphony will fade at last...
Isaiah's words will be history:
'As the waters cover the sea'
