As The Wind Whispers To Me Poem by Joseph Blitch

As The Wind Whispers To Me

Resting myself beside lake’s shoreline,
I hear wind’s whisper among the pine.
Often they seem to be laughing at me.
Blindly ambling, visions unable to see,
I seem to have lost my way back to you.
May be the wind will tell me what to do.
My spirit cries of loneliness deep within,
Ever searching the horizon for spirit kin.
Searching to find the peace in her love,
Asking for help from the Creator above.
Crying to Mother Earth, please be abiding,
Reveal to me the location of this maiden.
Whose spirit I see dancing in dawn’s light,
The one I danced with through the night,
By light of the moon to final kiss at dawn.
Did she think of me as just another pawn?
Her memory lingers within my inner being.
Her presence in my life I need to be seeing.
Under her spell until my last breath taken,
I guard the fragile seal of mind’s breaking.
