Ashen Poem by Suresh Raavi

Ashen

In the place where light falls like dust,
the sleepless gentle breeze
turns back in hope,
longing for a forest
that could shelter it.

Little does it know…
the forest now
is on its very last breath!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem rests between hope and loss. The breeze longs for shelter, yet the forest itself is fading. It is a quiet elegy on impermanence.
