Ashes Poem by Lea Hojnosova

Ashes

Rating: 4.2

Silver road connecting two ends,
between lands of fire and infinite mess.

Not knowingly we walk through these streets,
not noticing where the right path leads.

Everyone is blinded by their fears,
replacing happiness with surreal thrills.

In illusions we all crave our fates,
missing the knowledge how reality tastes.

In ashes the human kind has rised,
and in the ash we will all pay for our crimes.

Nobody knows where from he came and where he is going, but a hopeful approach to life with love as the rudder and life as a boat we are dreaming an island like a shipwrecked person in the ocean of time. a great thoughtful poem, a brilliant start at this website.
