Ashore Poem by Payal Lalwani

Ashore

Ever stood on the shore,
only vast nothing -
being small, almost non-existing
yet somewhere a sense of relief.
Water soothing , the swooshing fills in
and out comes bitterness.
Air is here and everywhere.
A buffet to all and everything.
A calm, a piece reigns
.A vast nothing engulfs everything.
